It was SO much fun to photograph our fellow photographer friend’s wedding! Emma is the creative eye behind Love and Lichens. We were honored that she and Dustin trusted us to capture this important day in their lives!

We knew their day would be epic, but nothing quite prepared us for the lichen-filled florals by Protea Floral + Design, canoeing down the river for their ceremony sendoff, the quirky U.P. cabin getting ready scenes, or the insane photo locations Emma picked out! In addition, Emma, Dustin and Aidan are three of the smiliest people we’ve ever met, so photographing them is always a dream.

Their amazing invites were hand painted by Gailea Design, Emma’s sister.

Her grandpa was their officiant!

I love the random objects that found their way into the decor..

Their reception was held at their new property the following day!

Emma wanted more portraits around their gorgeous new property, and we excitedly obliged!

They had Smelted Wood Fired Pizza cater the reception. It was ahhhmazing and so delicious.

Emma’s Dad built this outdoor dance floor just for their big day!

When your favorite song comes on and you’re not on the dance floor..

^ When you don’t have a special someone for the slow dance…! Hahah
