With a forecast for rain, rain, and more rain all day, we went into this day with some worry. Lately we’ve been doing positive affirmations on wedding mornings such as, “Everything will run smoothly today.” On this morning, we added, “The weather will behave perfectly!”

Briana was completely laid back and just kept saying that everything would work out, whether it rained or not! She didn’t care if we had to do pictures inside, but we really wanted to get some beautiful Marquette scenery in some shots. To our amazement, the rain stopped just in time for the first look and held off through our portrait session and the outdoors ceremony. We got the perfect, overcast lighting for most of the day and the coolest fog for portraits by the lake! The rain only started back up again with a vengeance just FIVE minutes after they said, “I do!”

Moral of the story: Positive affirmations go far!
