Lake Superior Beach Elopement // Grand Marais, Michigan Wedding Photographer

Meag + Rick // September 2020

This was an example of intimate beach wedding done just beautifully. Framed by the pine trees, Lake Superior’s turquoise waves, a moody sky and just a handful of family and friends.

Her dad and brother played “Come To Me” by The Goo Goo Dolls and they had their first dance immediately following ceremony. It was such a beautiful + emotional moment.

Come to me my sweetest friend
Can you feel my heart again
I’ll take you back where you belong
And this will be our favorite song
Come to me with secrets bare
I’ll love you more so don’t be scared
And when we’re old and near the end
We’ll go home and start again

They had all the guests pick one rock from the beach as part of their “guest book.”

We ended the afternoon climbing up the beautiful sand dunes of Grand Marais.

We were humbled to receive this review from Meag after she received her gallery:

I wish I could give Marisa and Dylan 100 stars. They were hands down the best photographers we have ever worked with. From their great communication before our wedding, to their flexibility when the weather turned foul, these two were on top of their game! Their attention to detail is unmatched. They captured our wedding day in a way that I have never seen. Stunning photos of our families, the ceremony and our location. But the real kicker was our couples shoot after the wedding — their cues and captures were right on point and made it easy for us to have fun and be natural. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Thank you, Meag and Rick, for having us capture your incredible day!
